Unlike traditional bed mills, the CM Series uses a travelling column with a fixed table—delivering maximum structural stability, larger machining zones, and a stationary workpiece setup that simplifies fixturing and improves accuracy on oversized parts.
The CM’s main structural components—including bed, column, and ram—are made from high-quality EN-GJL-250 gray cast iron. Thermally stabilized and rib-reinforced, these parts are designed using finite element analysis to withstand heavy loads, reduce deflection, and absorb vibrations across all axes.
From the 0.001 mm resolution absolute linear scales to the integrated counterweight system on the Z-axis, the CM is built for precision. Thermal compensation, high-capacity coolant delivery (20 bar internal, 6 bar external), and centralized lubrication keep things tight and running smooth—even during long, demanding cycles.
The CM’s main spindle is powered by a 31 kW Siemens AC motor, feeding into a robust two-speed gearbox. This setup delivers both constant torque at low speeds and constant power up to 6000 rpm, ideal for heavy material removal, precision finishing, and everything in between.
At the heart of every CM is the Heidenhain TNC 640 control system. Offering both conversational and G-code programming, advanced interpolation, multi-axis support, and remote diagnostics, it gives operators the flexibility, precision, and connectivity they need to tackle complex jobs with confidence.
Every CM Series machine is built to rigorous international standards, including CE compliance and full alignment with ISO, UNE, and DIN geometrical verification protocols. Each unit undergoes laser-based axis positioning verification according to ISO 230-2, with positioning accuracy of 0.015 mm and repeatability of 0.008 mm. Structural components are painted in high-durability industrial finishes—RAL 7021 dark grey, RAL 3020 red, and RAL 9016 white—for long-lasting protection and a clean, rugged appearance.
