We’re proud to introduce a major addition to the Republic Lagun family of mills, the FTV-2FE Vertical Knee Mill with EVS, now available as either Metric or Imperial. We’ve revamped our bestselling FTV2F vertical knee mill from the inside out, with a full EVS conversation, and an all new look.

Equipped with an ultra-powerful, and rigid Electronic Variable Speed (EVS) head that reaches full horsepower at 356 RPM, this brawny milling head produces 74 ft/lbs. (10kgm) of torque. We’ve specially designed these heads with a 2:1 gear ratio from the motor to the spindle. This gear ratio lowers motor speed while increasing torque, allowing it to reach high RPM’s.

Additionally, like our classic FTV-2F, this vertical knee mill comes equipped with induction hardened and ground ways. We’ve also included square ways for rigidity and dovetail ways for accuracy on the knee.

The FTV-2FE’s combination of a 5hp Baldor motor with a heavy duty Yakasawa drive allows it to achieve low-end torque. When combined with a 2:1 gear ratio you have a machine with precision control, less wear on its motor & bearings, more torque at higher RPM’s, and a longer lifespan.
