    TM Series Breakdown

When your work demands rigidity, reach, and multi-process flexibility, Lagun Maher Holding’s TM Series delivers. Built on a modular architecture—interchangeable slides, rams, and columns—the TM platform lets you tailor stroke, structure, and heads to the job while keeping the core benefits consistent: rock-solid stiffness, precision under load, easy maintenance, and smart chip/coolant management. Below, we break down two standouts in the family.

Lagun Maher Holding TM T Cross Moving Column Milling Machine with Turning Option

TM T: Cross Moving Column Mill with Turning Capability

For shops that want to mill and turn in a single setup, the TM T packs serious capability. Up top is a robust steel rotary table in two diameters—63″ or 70.87″ (1600 / 1800 mm)—spinning to 400 RPM and delivering up to 6,196 ft-lb (8,400 Nm) of torque. A dual-servo drive (18.77 HP / 14 kW each; 37.5 HP / 28 kW combined across two ranges) uses a double-pinion gear with electronic preload for precise positioning at speed, and a hydraulically actuated brake caliper locks the table when you need it. The machine includes dedicated tool interfaces for milling and turning (HSK 100T or Capto C8) and an orthogonal L040 head with Hirth coupling to rigidly lock the spindle for turning operations—great for external profiles and complex geometries. Around the cutting zone, full enclosure, perimeter channels, and twin built-in chip extractors keep visibility high and cleanup low. Add the TM platform’s modular design—optimized, reinforced bed; roller/shoe guidance; ram placement close to the column; and deflection-compensating wedges—and you’ve got a fast, precise, multi-process workhorse that shortens lead times and reduces handling.

Lagun Heavy Mills TM Cross Moving Column Milling Machine

TM: Cross Moving Column Mill for 5-Sided Machining

When bulky, heavy parts demand full-profile access and tight tolerances, the TM Cross Moving Column Mill is the compact, rigid answer. Its table starts at 59.06″ × 59.06″ (1500 × 1500 mm) with an optional 70.87″ × 70.87″ (1800 × 1800 mm), riding on size-55 long roller shoes and rated for 10 metric tons. Lock the table and you get up to 18,439 ft-lb (25,000 Nm) of tangential force, with permissible milling torque to 10,326 ft-lb (14,000 Nm). The cross-moving column travels parallel to the ram, combining Y- and V-axis motion for efficient 5-sided access on complex parts where tool reach and clearance are tricky. Like the TM T, you get a reinforced, oversized bed; column-slide-ram assembly designed for stiffness with a light vertical slide; and wedges to counter ram deflection in cross travel. Full enclosure, perimeter coolant/chip channels, and dual integrated chip extractors maintain a clean, visible workspace—so you can push metal removal without sacrificing accuracy or uptime.

Both TM variants share Lagun’s modular DNA: quicker builds, easier customization, fewer superfluous elements, and precision born from optimized structures. Choose the TM T when you want true mill-turn flexibility in one envelope; choose the TM Cross Moving Column when 5-sided accessibility and high torque milling on heavy workpieces are the priority.
