Republic Lagun’s Gunsmithing Lathe, the RL-1440G-TW-EVS-GS, is a variation of our classic American Turnmaster engine head lathe. By modifying our highly popular RL-1440G-TW with an onboard spider, EVS Conversion, RPM Readout, and DRO system, we’ve created a compact size gunsmithing lathe, ideal for home-based, or small-scale workshops.

Our American Turnmaster lathes guarantee extra rigidity when cutting, no matter the size and heft. The vibration dampening abilities provided by the hardened and Reischauer ground gears ensures accurate results. We fitted each gunsmithing lathe with removable gap beds, designed using our signature 3-V-Ways. We use this design to achieve perfect alignment, and reverse movement during turning.

The Republic Lagun Gunsmithing Lathe comes with an Electronic Variable Speed (EVS) conversion. This modification provides full HP at all RPMs, lowering energy use, and increasing stability. This is because the lathe runs precisely at the speed set by the user, allowing the EVS head to avoid agitating material during turning.
